Board Member
Rohit Jawa is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). He is also the President, of Unilever, South Asia, and a member of the Unilever Leadership Executive (ULE). Rohit started his career with HUL as a management trainee in 1988. He has a proven track record of sustained business results across India, Southeast Asia, and North Asia. As EVP North Asia and Chairman of Unilever China, Rohit helped transform the business into Unilever’s third largest globally. He developed a distinct strategic agenda for China, championed digitalization and premiumization, and steered the business capably through the Covid crisis. As the Chairman of Unilever Philippines, he led the business to become one of the top 10 markets for Unilever globally. Rohit has a bachelor’s degree from St Stephen’s College and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies, both at the University of Delhi, India. He is an alumnus of IMD Business School, Lausanne, Switzerland, where he completed the Breakthrough Program for Senior Executives in 2018. Rohit also completed the Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School in 2022. He has served as the founding Secretary for the Food Industry Asia, Singapore, in 2010 and Co-Chair of the 'Grow Asia Philippines' along with the Secretary of Agriculture, Philippines in 2015-16, a World Economic Forum initiative for inclusive business models in agriculture. In addition, he served on the Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) China board, a global, CEO-led collaboration for positive change.

Dev is General Counsel, South Asia of Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and has a law degree from the University of Delhi. He completed an Executive Program for Corporate Counsels at Harvard conducted by Harvard Law School. Dev has 30 years of experience in diverse industries that include Automobiles, FMCG, Hospitality and Private Equity, in the areas of Legal, Governance, Tax and Corporate Affairs. In the past, he has worked with Maruti Udyog Limited, Marico Limited, Indian Hotels Company Limited and ICICI Venture Funds Management Company Limited. He has been part of Committees of Apex Industry Organisations such as CII & FICCI. Dev has also represented Industry before Parliamentary Committees

Ritesh is Executive Director, Finance , Chief Financial officer & VP Finance South Asia, Unilever. Ritesh Tiwari joined Unilever as a management trainee in 1999 after completing his certification as a Chartered Accountant & Cost and Management Accountant. Over the last 22 years, he has led teams both within India and across Unilever in core finance and as a business partner to front-end sales, categories and supply chain. His most recent role has been in the UK as the Vice President, Finance, Global Performance for Unilever and CFO for Unilever International, where he is credited with bringing about simplification and leading projects with high business impact. Ritesh is driven by his purpose “Reimagine possibilities and bring value with values.” He is a future-focussed, high energy and results-oriented business leader.

Deepak Subramanian is the Executive Director – Home Care for Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), a publicly listed company in India with a market cap of USD 70 Billion. Deepak also serves as the General Manager of the Homecare Business of Unilever for the South Asia region. Deepak joined Unilever as a Management Trainee in 1995, after completing his B.A.(Hons.) in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi. In a global career spanning 27 years, he has lived and worked in India, Europe, and Asia across local/regional/global Sales & Marketing roles and more recently in Board-level General Management roles, bearing full P&L responsibility. He is also a Member of the Global Advisory Board of Insider (a Global Growth Management Platform), The Web3 Marketing and an Advisor /Mentor / Investor in deeptech and sustainability start-ups and Venture Capital Funds like Antler and 500. He is a graduate of the Executive Programme at Singularity University and a Certified Chair from the Advisory Board Centre, Australia.
Chief Executive Officer
Shraman is a seasoned professional manager, with nearly 30 years of multi-industry professional experience in diverse emerging markets (India, Bangladesh, West Africa and the Middle East). Shraman started his career in 1993 at Unilever with diverse roles in India and Bangladesh before moving onto other reputed organisations like Friesland Campina and Eli Lilly amongst others. Passionate about the environment, he was last with WWF, helping drive the wider conservation and sustainability agenda. Shraman also serves on the board of GALVmed, an Edinburgh based not-for-profit organisation focused on the small holder farmers of sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. Shraman is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He also holds an MA in Economics from the University of Pune and a BA (Hons) in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi. He has been awarded the British Chevening Senior Scholarship to the London School of Economics and is a fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar-21st Century Trust. Shraman writes and speaks actively on environment linked issues, also engaging with students at select academic institutions.
Senior Manager - Portfolio and Partnerships
Anantika is the Senior Manager - Portfolio and Partnerships at Hindustan Unilever Foundation (HUF). Her work at the Foundation aims to raise the profile of India’s water challenges and solutions through strategic government engagement and private partnerships. She believes improving water security requires both targeted and collective action. A large part of her work involves government partnerships; key crop systems; incentives for water conservation and championing frontline workers. Anantika has 18 years of work experience across corporate, government and development sectors. She has worked extensively in the health and social protection space and fostered several successful government and philanthropic collaborations. She holds a master’s degree in Social Work from Delhi University.
Portfolio and Operations Lead
Praveen is the Portfolio and Operations lead at Hindustan Unilever Foundation. He brings in expertise on building programmes, managing vital organisational functions with other business partners, and leveraging knowledge outcomes across the entire portfolio. His work at the Foundation aims to build numeracy and action on water security, building system and scale enablers and forging networks for cross learning. He believes that building first mile capability is critical for extension support, being a critical driver to achieve scale and sustainable outcomes for communities in water security programmes. Praveen has over 20 years of experience in the development sector that covering a wide spectrum on the environment, social and governance agenda. He is passionate on the climate agenda, and his works in previous roles have explored energy, chemicals, wastes and climate issues. With a strong people orientation, Praveen believes in pursuing equity and ethics as matter of individual behaviour and leadership trait. He has been awarded the International Visitors Leadership Fellowship of US Dept of State and is an alumnus of Leadership Accelerator Programme of Indian Institute of Management – Bangalore. Praveen holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Economics and Masters in Ecology and Environment.
Technical Programme Lead
Kumud is a subject matter expert in Watershed and natural resource management. At HUF, he helps team members and partners conduct geographic analysis and apply remote sensing technologies to understand the programme’s water context and inform science led water infrastructure creation and management. He has over 20 years of diverse experience in Natural Resource Management, Climate change, watershed, water resources, GIS/RS applications and project execution. Early in his career, Kumud worked with Royal HaskoningDHV, CII, Jacobs Engineering, ESRI and other MNCs on water, wastewater, and climate issues. He holds a post graduate degree in Geoinformatics.
Programme Lead - Water Conservation
Rishu leads Water Conservation programmes in HUF. A postgraduate from Indian Institute of Forest Management, he is an environmentalist and a development professional with over two decades of work experience. He believes local governments together with informed and active citizen participation is key to addressing sustainable development and climate change adaptation challenges. Prior to joining HUF, he has worked with United Nations, DFID and civil society organizations. He started his career working with forest communities in Madhya Pradesh. On a key leadership position in WOTR, he led ambitious community-based interventions. He was also part of the national team at Ministry of Panchayati Raj, GOI, that contributed to roll out GPDP across the country.
Senior Coordinator for Environmental sustainability pillar
Vidur Shreshth is the Co-ordinator for Environmental Sustainability at PRABHAT, HUL’s flagship factory programme across several locations in India. In partnership with communities in the vicinity of HUL’s factories, Vidur works with NGOs on solutions to improve ground water, undertake water conservation and support farmers to adopt regenerative agricultural practices. Vidur is a development professional and post-graduate in Water policy and Governance. In his previous stint as a Zila Swachh Bharat Prerak, he anchored the progress of Swachh Bharat Mission-Rural in Munger District of Bihar by providing technical expertise to the District administration on behaviour change and improving accessibility to toilets.
Programme Lead - Social Entrepreneurship
Nivedita leads a portfolio of start-ups working on innovative and viable solutions for water conservation and water use efficiency in agriculture. She also manages HUF’s Data Management System which enables real-time monitoring of programme data and season-wise tracking of KPIs for better insights and timely decision making. Nivedita has over 12 years of experience across corporate and social sectors. She has led multi-stakeholder engagements with non-profits and government bodies, in the areas of vocational education, Tech4Good and rural development. She has completed a Post Graduate Program in Development Leadership and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Technology.
Finance Lead
Angela handles all the finance-related issues for the Hindustan Unilever Foundation (HUF). As hold MBA in finance, she is a veteran of the broader Unilever system, with an experience of more than 25 years of working experience in separate streams and sub-functions of the area. She is energized and enthused by the work done by the Foundations across its program on water and believes this is her way of making a difference in one of India’s most critical needs in the years ahead. Angela also supports the CSR function role for Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), where she is responsible for the compliance, monitoring, audit, governance, and reporting. These get her to interface with different verticals and functions. Her intrinsic interest in sustainability makes it even more exciting for her to be a part of this broader agenda.
Team Assistant
Shilpa supports HUF’s CEO and Programme Leads in ensuring organisational goals are met and programme priorities are on track. She interfaces with partners, employees, vendors and other and internal and external stakeholders. She manages financial and administrative compliance of partners and team members, manages all vendor relations. She supports HUF in organising and hosting events, meetings and trainings, in addition supports team members wherever the need may arise. Shilpa has over 8 years of work experience across corporate sectors. She has worked extensively in the education and hospitality.
National Advisory Council Member
Ms. Kalpana Morparia is an Independent Director and Former Chairman of JPMorgan, South and Southeast Asia. Kalpana was also a member of JPMorgan’s Asia Pacific Management Committee. She serves as an Independent Director on the Boards of Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, Hindustan Unilever Limited and Philip Morris International Inc. Kalpana is also a Member of the Governing Board of Bharti Foundation. Prior to joining JPMorgan, India, Kalpana served in ICICI Group since 1975. Her last assignment included Vice Chair on the Board of ICICI Group Companies and Joint Managing Director of ICICI Bank from 2001 to 2007. A graduate in science and law from Bombay University, Kalpana has been recognized in the international and national media for her role as a leading women professionals.

Ms. Vittal has profound experience in emerging markets, Indian agriculture and urbanization. She was a partner at McKinsey & Co. for 16 years where she contributed her expertise to global companies on growth and sustainable scaling. She has co-authored several studies related to agriculture and urbanization which have helped the government and public institutions design and implement solutions for urban development and sustainable rural growth. Ms. Vittal serves as the Board member and member of the audit committee of Titan Company Ltd., The Indian Hotels Company Ltd., Godrej Consumer Products Ltd., HDFC Ltd., Compass Plc, and non-profit organizations such as Vidhi Legal, Wateraid, and Educate Girls. She earned a bachelor’s degree in BS electronics from Osmania University and holds an MBA degree from IIM Calcutta.

She is also a Non- Executive Independent Director with Philips India Limited, United Breweries India Limited, TruCap Finance Limited and a strategy advisor to start ups in the nutrition and social impact space both in Netherlands and India. She has also chaired the Sub-Committee on Food Regulation with CII from 2015-2018. Geetu is an immensely respected FMCG industry voice, an ardent advocate on authentic leadership and a strong proponent of an inclusive culture that helps diversity thrive.
